Here is a collection of some good, free (or mostly free) online resources I’ve come across & have used to supplement curriculum in our homeschool years:
Check back often, as I will continually add to the list!
Ambleside Online (free Charlotte Mason homeschool curriculum. We especially like using their Hymn Studies)
Core Knowledge (this sometimes leans into a little too much of a “Public School” approach but there are many parts of the downloadable curriculum I’ve found helpful for supplement)
Creative Kids Virtual Preschool (I’ll admit I have not tried this one resource personally but have heard raving reviews. I’m not big on Preschooling, in general, but a recognize there is a need for some students who show excitement & anxiousness to begin a program at this young age. Especially youngins with older homeschooled siblings!)
Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool (A complete, free Christian homeschool curriculum. As well as their sister site My EP Assignments, where students can access their daily work independently)
Freckle (an online Math and English supplement)
The Good and The Beautiful (They offer free PDF versions of their Math and Language Arts curriculum, as well as have many free educational videos on their YouTube channel)
Half-a-Hundred Acre Wood (a large list of amazing free resources)
Kahn Academy (a well-known Math supplement that my son says is his favorite part of homeschool. While he only uses it for the one subject, they provide options for many learning subjects)
Kingdom First Homeschool (Forest Rose shares great homeschooling encouragement and ideas, recipes, tips, freebies, giveaways, printables… and more!)
Lamp & Light Living (Free Charlotte Mason style, Christian curriculum, Bible Studies and other goods)
Miniature Masterminds (wonderful printable! We especially enjoy the Seasonal collections)
Mom Delights (I love this Homeschool Mama of 15! We have used several of her freebies and enjoyed them all)
Mulberry Wind Acres (While it seems this Mama doesn’t homeschool, she has plenty of resources for those of us who do!)
Mystery Science (Science Lesson Plans coordinated with video teachings. While this ends up being a paid program, there is the ability to have many free trials!)
Number Stories – Book 1 (this is a really cute math resource that strays away from traditional introduction to math. There is also Book 2 and a workbook)
Prenda.com: Treasure Hunt Reading Program (this is a comprehensive workbook style download with corresponding video teaching)
Prodigy (My kids are OBSESSED with this Math and English supplement that mimics an RPG video game with an educational twist)
Progressive Phonics (an all-in-one reading program that is easy, fun, and totally FREE)
Reading Bear (teaches beginning readers phonics & vocabulary)
Scattered Squirrel (Free Printable Planners/Calendars/Organizers)
TeacherTube (Like YouTube, but more targeted for education only)
Teach With Movies (Companion Learning Guides for 100s of movies)
TBH’s Genesis 1:1 Handwriting/Tracing Practice
Under The Home (K-5 Charlotte Mason-inspired curriculum)
XtraMath (a helpful Math Drill tool)
Zearn (Online math supplement. Students explore math through pictures,
visual models, and real-life examples)
